The Privacy Policy, as well as the Cookie Policy, is incorporated into and made a part of our Terms and Conditions of Supply. Information We Collect and What We Use It For

We process the following categories of your personal data when it is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us: your salutation, first and last name, email address, delivery, and billing address, telephone number, and payment card details, web site’s login details.

We process the following categories of data for marketing purposes if we have legitimate interests or when you give us your consent: email address, name, gender, how you have reached our digital platform and the internet protocol (IP) address you have used, your login information, browser type and version, plug-in, operating system and platform, the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); products you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our Customer Experience Team.

Package Insurance

The Leather Craftsman takes pride in delivering your items to you in perfect condition along with branded packaging. As much as we would love to, we cannot hand-deliver every order to every customer, so we leave the delivery in the hands of our trusted delivery partners. The Leather Craftsman insures every package against theft and accidental damage while in transit until it is delivered to your specified address. Once the package is delivered, we are no longer responsible for your purchase. If your box is damaged upon arrival, we recommend that you refuse the delivery and contact us right away. If your order is damaged after receiving your order, please also contact us right away so we are able to assist you as best as possible at support@theleathercraftsmen.com, or (+27) 021-6834186 or  (+27) 041-452 1509.

Shipping Address

Please note first-time orders must be shipped to the billing address associated with the payment method. We are also unable to accommodate shipment to PO boxes or APO addresses. Orders with multiple items may be dispatched from both our manufacturing unit and The Leather Craftsman store.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

You’ll receive an email notification after your order has been dispatched, follow the link Track your Order, and choose from a range of flexible payment options.

NOTE: In the wake of the Coronavirus virus COVID-19, our highest priority is to do our part to ensure the health and safety of our customers, and suppliers while meeting our service commitments.

If we have trouble processing an order, we will use your contact information. Your telephone number is required for shipping purposes.

Our shipping fees are based directly on FedEx International Priority ® rates calculated by the weight of the item(s) purchased and the shipping destination zip code.

STORE SOURCED ITEMS

Store sourced Items will be delivered separately within 3-5 working days. Please allow an additional 4 days for international delivery. You will be advised if an item is coming from a store during the checkout process.

Tax Planning

The Leather Craftsman does not undertake any aggressive tax planning, including the undertaking of any artificial transactions, the sole purpose of which is to reduce tax. In conducting its business, The Leather Craftsman may claim any reliefs, e.g. allowances, deductions, incentives, exemptions, credits, etc., to which it is entitled, provided that the outcome of applying such reliefs is aligned with commercial and economic reality and is sustainable. Where appropriate, in particular as regards complex or specialist matters, written advice evidencing the facts, risks, and conclusions may be sought from external advisers.

Order Tracking

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email containing your order details and tracking number, which you can use to track your order online. If you are registered with The Leather Craftsmen, you can track the status of your delivery by signing into your account and selecting “My Account“, followed by “Orders“.

Your tracking number will not activate to show movement until the parcel is scanned in at the first courier-specific sorting facility, generally, 48 hours or so after you receive your shipping notification.

Order Processing

  • Before we can ship your order, we may need to confirm some additional details regarding sizes, color, lining, etc.
  • Our delivery time starts from the moment an order begins processing and includes a 48 – 72 hours period where your items will be packed and shipped from our warehouse. This can take slightly longer during sales.
  • Inclement weather conditions and international customs are also not factored into delivery time and may cause delays.
